Thank you for visiting this page which features updates on construction at Venetia Valley School.
The restroom building, adjacent to the Middle School at Venetia Valley K-8, is in a deteriorated condition. Additionally,a drainage swale is needed to re-direct water away from the school property line and into an existing storm drain. These projects were identified as part of the Bond Measure A program.
BACKGROUND:
The existing restroom building adjacent to the middle school will be demolished and replaced with a new restroom building with eight (8) single occupancy student toilet rooms and one (1) staff toilet room. This project will include an accessible pathway from the middle school campus and a new concrete drainage swale designed to redirect water away from the school property line.
BEAM Construction Enterprises, Inc. was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. This work will begin in October and be completed in March, 2024.
Critical to the success of the site work is collaboration with the school communities. Venetia Valley has a Site Facilities Committee that is currently meeting to lead in the project design, details and planning for implementation for the school's bond program work.
The Site Facilities Committee is made up of teachers, staff, parents and community members. They are joined by the project team, including architects, engineers, project and/or construction managers and school and District staff, in guiding the design and planning work at the school.
