BUILDING FOR STUDENT SUCCESS

Progress is underway on school Bond Measures B & C, approved by voters in June 2022, providing up to $216 million for high schools, and $152 million for elementary and middle schools. Most projects are now through design phase, with construction, renovation and modernization happening throughout the District.

San Rafael City School facilities were transformed when voters approved bond measures A and B in November 2015. This bond provided $108 million to fund updates to our elementary and middle schools and $161 million for our high schools.

The Bond Program provides significant funding to create safe, innovative learning environments and instructional technology to support student learning. Additional buildings, classrooms, labs and equipment are reducing overcrowding and meeting the growing demand for hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts and math classes.

Davidson MPR Construction Milestone Achieved

We are thrilled to share a significant milestone in the construction of Davidson's new Multi-Purpose Room (MPR)! We have successfully completed the foundational work, a crucial step in ensuring the building's stability and longevity. This work included the installation of 65 drilled piers, each reaching an impressive depth of 60 feet into the ground, and the pouring of the concrete piers.

With this major phase complete, the heavy drilling equipment is now being removed from the site. We are excited to transition to the next stage of construction, which involves preparing to set the grade beams. The estimated completion date for the MPR is September 2026.

We appreciate your continued patience and support as we work towards creating this wonderful new space for our students and the entire Davidson Middle School community. We will continue to provide updates as the project progresses.
